mine did not shrank at all after wash, though i start wearing mine without soaking but after the first and succeeding washes the honeycombs, stacks and whiskers stays in the same place so i assume that there is no shrinkage. that is from my experience.

I got the UB 321's in the mail yesterday from Blue Owl, and they are fantastic.  I have a pair of the 301's as well.  For the price, you cannot beat the product you receive.  They fit wonderfully, have a great feel to them.  They weight of these are going to make for excellent honeycombing.  They are an excellent winter fall/winter jean and look great with my walnut daltons, or eagle county's.  I am actually in the process of having a custom leather patch made for these at a local leather shop.

First post here -- please help!

I recently picked up a gap 1969 selvedge jean in straight fit (not the baggy original or the skinnier slim fit) in size 31 and they fit PERFECT

Im trying to find a pair of unbranded, and I cant even begin to get the skinny fit on my body until size 33! I bought a grey skinny in 33 thinking it would stretch, but I have my doubts. Its really tight, I cant really wear underwear with these (which will make them smell and thats bad with raw denim), and Im worried a 34 will stretch too much over time and begin to sag and show my crack and what not.

Can anyone comment on the tapered fit? I do like the idea of a slimmer fitting jean, so I dont want to get another basic straight leg, but these skinny fits are just really thin! For reference, I am 5'11'' 170 athletic. I really wouldnt say my thighs are all that big even...

The problem is that the tapered fit only seems to be available online, and Im not sure what waist size to order...

Please help! Thanks guys!

I'm built very similarly to you and the problem is.....you ain't built for skinny jeans. I'm not suggesting you're too big at all, but you may be past skinny jeans. I wear a size 32 gap 1969 straight fit and a size 32 UB 321 (the straight fit 21-oz).

My girlfriend said they looked good, but it's just totally impractical to wear jeans that tight. Im really leaning towards the tapered fit in a 32, by comparing the measurements on the UB website, it seems like they will fit decently in the waist and still give me the slimmer look I am going for.

Also can you comment on the UB 21oz? Im REALLY interested in those; would you say they fit looser or tighter than the 1969 gap selvedge in the same size?

Just take some measurements of the gap pants and compare them to the measurements on blue owl which seem to be accurate for the 21oz though for the regulars I'd go with the measurements on the unbranded website. Just decide how much space you're willing to give up in certain areas and then make your decision.

I think I'm around the same build as you and I have a pair of 201s. I went true to size (TTS) and got a tagged size 32 as my waist usually fit this size. I don't think I'm a 32 anymore but it still fits. The taper is nice, it's not skin tight around the thighs but it is a little tight. Front rise isn't ball demolishing either. They did stretch a bit after a couple weeks of wear. I think going TTS will work but always check with measurements so that you get a better idea. I can post some fit pics some time tomorrow or something if you actually want to see how it fits.

Your hem should look exactly the same as it looks now, only your inseam will get a little shorter! Just tell him that. Preferably with a chain-stitch, but not every taylor can do this.

Just got my 21 oz. a couple of days ago

Any who has them or jeans that are similar in terms off indigo rubbing off/fading qualities have any issues with staining light car interior?

Since the denim seems to be very abrasive I'm concerned about staining a tan car interior

That;s normal for raw denim. It stains as hell
