Worse than the jeans are hypebeast posters.. eugh. These almost look like an off-shoot of a larger company who don't want to tarnish their image by releasing a substandard collection.

And why's that?

For example, I can think of a few other brands under $80 retail that don't stitch the patch over the yoke like this:

In case you can't tell, that's pretty atrocious.

Those threads that have been linked look a bit like the blind leading the blind. "Not a bad deal for $80" is pretty relative considering the probable quality of the denim knowing UO. The fact that they're selvage is probably how they're able to con people into buying $40 pairs for double.

The general advice of this forum should be to either shoot low, shoot high, or make the mistake so that you'll learn.

Unless the person that stitched that has Parkinsons, they should be fired.

Lol, this really made me laugh out loud. The patch does look horrible.

They look fine. Probably a more readily alternative to Uniqlo and w/o the sizing grief of APC. No reason to get snobbish. They will probably fit some people better, as well.

Super low pockets (on the slim straight)
Tapered has really tiny pockets
Skinny has super low and narrow pockets
Ugly patch
Very small waistband
^Last two combine to make a massive ugly top block (hate the stupid crease across the patch, the fact that the patch goes over the yoke because the yoke is way too high, the fact that the beltloops look like they're 4in or so since the proportions are so off)
Denim looks boring and reeks of selvedge hype
The stitching on the waistband is really ugly

I suppose for noobs it could be a decent choice but I'm sticking with "more in, more out". Nothing cheap will be able to come near a pair of higher end denim. The slim straight looks weird on the bottom too, could just be that they're new but they drape terribly. Kind of seems like they didn't put a lot of thought into proportions, kind of like they didn't actually come up with 3 different cuts but rather changed a few random measurements and didn't change any other details such as pockets, beltloops, carrier, waistband, etc.

Also, just went to hypebeast for the first time through that link, couldn't make it halfway down the first page
