Can't make any judgments as to fit or quality. They are what they are - $80 jeans. What's annoying is the not-so-subtle, slightly snobbish brand image which is trying to project "i'm too cool for brands."
Some guy on HB was bragging about how these "jawnz" don't have Japanese writing on them which I believe is a dig at Gap's original japanese selvage from Spring. Seriously dude, are these any different?
Come to think of it, that's exactly what's so annoying about UO. The people who shop there act like their too alternative for the mall brands and mainstream designer labels... even though UO's entire M.O. is to rip off those exact things.
