What is in your opinion the best cedar scent available?

Terre D'Hermes

years ago I loved the scent of DK Men (the one that eventually became Fuel, I think?) and once I got some samples with it called DK Men Unleaded.

I thought it smelled pretty decent, but one time I had just put some on and someone entered the small room I was in and told me the room smelled like a hampster cage (I guess you use cedar chips for hampsters..)

how does this help you? it doesn't.
your thread just made me think of it....sorry.

Cedar: L'Air du Desert Marocain.

(too bad it's a bitch to type). There's always Lutens Cedre, which I have not tried but is outlandishly expensive so it MUST be good.

06130 Cedre is always well-received. I personally use Bois 1920 Extreme, which has an edge for the first 15 minutes that is worth wearing through. The Bois 1920 lasts longer, but I recommend either one.

I get alot of cedar (along with vetiver) from Encre Noir, though most might call it plain vetiver.

ah, well, since you put it that way, I suggest you trundle down to your local Woodcraft store, get a quart of cedar oil, and vigorously splash yourself with it.

Can you recommend a reliable online source? Thanks!

Christian Lacroix Tumulte . . .

i have this thing for cedar, dunno what it is, but its my favorite - anyway, Tumulte is my favorite in this category. i find it to be brighter and cleaner than Terre d' Hermes. people are always surprised that i'm even wearing a scent when i'm wearing it.
