What do you think is the coolest car ever? - Page 10

Take another look at the topic that started this thread. . . It's not asking for the fastest car. It's not asking for the most expensive or most exotic. It's not asking for the funkiest or most flamboyant. And it's not asking for the most sophisticated or most elegant. I've seen a lot of great cars that excelled in those categories -- it's an automotive carnival out there, and I love it. I love looking at all the photos the rest of you have posted.

However. . . The operative word was coolest. And I think there's only one really good answer to that.

There are a number of cars that I really love but for me the moniker of "cool" belongs to this car:

no no no no no. the sort of people that drive these nowadays (at least round my neck o' the woods) are faT middle aged working class family men with a nerdy propensity for line dancing, blues played badly, and confederate flags. blokes just like coogan's new mach 1 mustang driving character saxondale - http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctwo/programmes/?id=saxondale

cool american cars from that sort of era include the loewy penned studebaker avanti:

Applying full throttle in any gear, even in high gear at high speeds, would spin the wheels.

Well, if we're talking coolest and not necessarily best-performing, I'd go for something like one of the following:

I once knew a beautiful girl who drove me up into the mountains in a bright orange VW Thing. If context counts, that one's the hands-down winner. Err, after the red VW Cabriolet my wife was driving when we started dating, that is . . .
