Yeah, what's he been up to with his club? Isn't he at ManU? I feel like I haven't heard anything about him in ages. Then he pops up here (and was a last minute sub in an earlier match).

He wasn't exactly on form for those few minutes he was just in.

Congrats France. But Italy will spank you if you play like that. If you play like you did against Brazil, the final will be amazing.

luc, I did not catch any of the other games. Was France's defense as effective in the past? I don't remember them ever having that cohesive a back end.

Saha plays for Man Utd,the biggest club in the world, and was in excellent form going into the World Cup.He was crap today but I thought in the Switzerland game the only time you looked like scoring was when he came on.

In England it is Cisse who is the biggest joke(a player who forummers seem to like, but god only knows why)

Thanks for the Saha info.

Wasn't Cisse rather brilliant in the French league and then suffered a massive broken leg (same break as he is currently suffering from but other leg) that kept him out a year? Seems that would affect anyone pretty badly.

He did break his leg but that was two seasons ago.Off the top of my head he made 33 league appearances scoring 7 goals.

Missed the first half. Did not injur my voice. Somewhat disappointed by the French team, never by Zizou. Commentators on TV5Monde should hold their tongue till the game is over, especially with the Portuguese in possession of the ball most of the time towards the end.

Party on Sunday at my house! Even if we don't win, we beat the odds already.

Hopefully Nesta will be fit for Sunday. But in any event, Italy seems to be getting stronger each match. They are really firing on all cylinders - everyone is scoring, and the defense hasn't conceded a goal (other than the OG against the US) yet. Not bad, for a bunch of whiney divers....
