20th Anniversary of Bleach Release

Amazing it's been 20 years since this first came out. Bought the remastered version today, and the live songs (from a show in Portland) are amazing. I think Bleach was easily my favorite Nirvana album of all time. This version is a great addition to hear a legendary American band before they blew up. Must buy.

That album cost $600 to record.

The Live at Reading CD/DVD is also out now.

The only Nirvana album I ever liked, even at the height of their fame. Never was much for grunge though.

I bought the first copy that arrived in Australia ... and thought it was a mediocre Mudhoney rip-off

I'm just bitter still b/c Sup Pop was priming Afghan Whigs to be THE act of the 90s...then Nirvana came along and stole their thunder. heh.

i'm happy i never paid money to see them in a large venue. i only saw them twice at the old 9:30 club....once opening for Loop....the other time with Das Damen opening.

I thought something along those lines also. The only thing that made me feel better is that it would be worse if I was a boomer, there must be some sort of Beatles 50th anniversary coming along anytime soon.

Bought it, but must admit, I don't like it as much as the Portland show on Bleach.

I listened to it today for the first time in maybe five years without knowing about its anniversary. Whoa Carl Jung.

Damn dude, it's kinda funny to think of you wearing the clothes you do and working in finance for a conservative company. I bought bleach after the fact but I loved Nirvana as a kid. I hHaven't listened to it in ages but I'll have to change that. Nirvana was the greatest band from the 90s aside from Nine Inch Nails, imo.

lol, the irony is not lost on me, I assure you. I am probably one of the few people in my line of work that had a functional eyebrow piercing at one time.. Music was my life for many, many years.

The frontman of one of my favorite bands gave Kurt Cobain the shotgun he used to kill himself.

Hard to believe. Half my life has happened since this dropped. Nice call gnatty.

Good Records in Dallas gave me a huge Bleach poster with my copy. Don't know if other independent stores are doing the same.

I can't really tell a difference in sound (unlike the Mudhoney remaster, which did improve on my old CD) but I'm sure I'll enjoy the bonus live CD. Not like I could find my old Bleach CD anyway.
