I think most people choose an automatic transmission for their Porsches, which makes it somewhat pointless.

Well, the 911 turbo is faster with the auto than the 6-speed. But, frankly it's a Porsche and who gives a shit? I would never buy a Porsche that wasn't stick, unless they put a DSG in there and it was a lot faster than the a 6-speed, an by faster I mean 2 seconds or more, faster at getting from 0 to 60, I would never get an auto Porsche. The manual transmission is always going to be more fun (well, until you hit rush-hour traffic, anyhow).
