Thank you! The books are fun if you have an interest in the history of cowboy boots or just like pics of some beautiful and unusual boots. They've just caused me to spend more money on boots.

Can’t argue with that!

Happy New Year! Today I’m sporting a pair of Cuadra caiman hornback in their “orix sombreado” color.

Hello, bit of a lurker here but I finally splurged and got a pair of Heritage Boot Company Montana Skys off eBay. I was wondering if anyone has used Howard leather conditioner on their Heritage Boot Company boots before; trying to avoid stripping the pair of their color or potentially damaging them in any way. Thanks!

I typically use Bick 4 leather conditioner or Alden boot cream. No experience with Howard

I would use Bick 4 as it is an exceedingly gentle conditioner with 0 potential to discolor any part of your new boots. Enjoy!

E: just saw gnatty beat me to it.

Hello everyone. I recently picked up some new boots! However, no Mexico trip this time. I have a vendor here in the States I’ve been doing business with for many years that has an “inside track” so to speak with my favorite brand and calls me a few times a year when she comes across stuff she knows I’ll like. Sometimes I buy, sometimes I don’t.

I had no idea Cuadra ever made a “tercera” design of smooth ostrich belly and full quill. I guess they contacted her about some older stock that was only being sold in Mexico. It had been sitting around awhile and they wanted to move it so I got a great deal. I picked up two pairs. This one in “brandy” and another in “orix.”

Yesterday was a very special occasion that called for a suit and tie. I have a bespoke grey three piece I thought they would go great with.

Okay another one of my quick fun stories! I very rarely have a need to wear a tie (or suit for that matter.) I chose a nice (cloth) tie from my small collection. My wife saw it and asked me if I would, “Please wear a real tie.” I smiled and said, “Sure. Put this back and go pick me out one.” Just wanted to share this too.

Thanks for putting up with me! Everyone have a great day.
