Cowboy boots - Page 25

Greetings. Way down here in Malaysia, cowboy boots are hard to come by. I've got a pile of them, sizes from 9.5 D's to 11 AA's. Some does not fit me , but bought them anyway coz they looked nasty.

The Backstreet Boys wear them often, and not a night goes by on the "E. Entertainment News" when you don't see Steve Kmetko wearing them. They're looking really sharp of late, with super pointed toes, and radically underslung heels.  I think they make a cool fashion statement. Anyone out there a cowboy boot fan? Would like to hear your opinions.

I wear them everyday after I get off work at home. I'll post a pic of my Dan Post boots (favorites) I bought in Texas about ten years ago when I get a chance. They've been resoled and re-heeled. I finally put some shoe shine on them last night.

Nice collection!

I have a pair of vintage Tony Lama Elephant boots. At first I diden't think I would feel comfortable in them, but after I wore them a little I found I loved them so much I rocked them to my graduation. I love my old boots, I'm going to try to get some alligator boots next.

I'm in the market for a pair, and next weekend I'm headed to M.L. Leddy's in the Fort Worth stockyards. They have a RTW series of handmade boots that I have my eye on, but I've saved up enough for full customs... Just in case. smile.gif

Got a couple new pairs since I last been on.

The first pair are vintage Justin boots in Cognac Sea Turtle. Supple well made boot. Very happy with em!
Second pair are vintage Dan Post American Alligators. I think they are a bias belly cut, but I could be wrong.
The third pair I just bought and am VERY happy with. A pair of Panhandle Slim vintage hippo hide in mud brown! So far very comfortable and durable. Bought em thinking they were Rhino hide but got this instead. Which is fine by me! I love Exotics!
One question to people who have had or have hippo boots! How do you clean hippo hide? Any tricks or tips are welcome thanks!
