I was just killing a rainy afternoon (of which we've had a weeks worth)at Boston's Copley/Prudential Mall. I ended up at a Johnston & Murphy shoe store and bought the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I know J&M isn't the best made shoe in the world, but it is not one of the worst either. The shoe I am talking about is new for this and called the "shuler" Here is the link http://www.johnstonmurphy.com/catalo...7873&VID=47884. It is a plain toe lace up with a rubber sole and flat heel. I got the mediium brown pebbled leather calfskin and it is one of the softest and supplest leathers I have ever felt on a shoe. It is also lined in sheepskin, which is chamois like in it's softness, and has a gel area in the heel and toe. At $120 this shoe is quite affordable and by far the most comfortable shoe I own, I plan on wearing it quite frequently during my New York trip this July. I am very impressed with this shoe.I just noticed on the website that there is this same shoe in a sandadl which may better suit my needs....
