Cell Phone recommendation

All the threads on similar topics are fairly old, so here's my question.

I may have to replace my Blackberry Curve.

What phone do you guys recommend for social media apps. I spend more time on Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google Maps and internet sites like this one than I do making calls. I also use it as my primary personal e-mail device. I'd also like a decent camera.

Preferably something available on the AT&T network.

Should I stay with a Blackberry of some type or go with something else?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

My AT&T contract is expiring soon. I'm pretty sure I'll go with a Motorola Droid next. It's on the Verizon network, though. If you choose to stay with AT&T, you're basically limited to another Blackberry [Bold] or an iPhone.

Apparently the new Blackberry Bold 9700 comes to AT&T at the end of the month.

I'm thinking about buying a really cheap, like $20, basic phone to put my sim card in for the next few weeks and then upgrading to the Bold.

I could go iPhone, but I think I'm more of a Blackberry guy.

Iphone. I had a blackberry and realized how much things are easier on the iphone plus it has so much more to offer.

Yea the iPhone is great for the things you said you wanted, it is basically a mobile computers. It's greatest assest is it's apps, honestly there is an app for anything you can think of. Btw I am a pc/ anti mac kind of guy, but the iPhone is one of best things out there. P.s. I just wrote this from my iPhone

I have the sprint hero and have had no problems with it. They positioned it as a social networking phone with facebook, twitter etc integrated in nicely. Worth a look I think.

Ok pulled the trigger on an iPhone 3Gs, 16g. Using it to post this right now. If I hate it I have 30 days to return. Hopefully I can use the camera to post more in WAYWRN.

Wow, the battery on this phone sucks. It died about 3:45 yesterday, with of course heavy usage because it was my first full day with the phone.

Today, making an effort not to pick it up any more than I did my old Blackberry it lasted until about 5:15.

The apps are fun but with this type of crappy battery life, I am seriously thinking of taking it back.
