There is no such thing as a rule of 10 on a inch to cm conversion. You are subtracting rather than multiplying and dividing. The original comment is correct. A 54 cm size is a 108 cm chest converting to a 42.6 inch chest. However if a suit is carried in 42 and 44 in US sizes (Brioni), that is your choices. If carried in e sizes than your choices are 42.6 and 44.2. So someone that fits one better likley will fit the other less well. The 42.6 fits me best. I suppose if anyone carried a 43 in US sizes that would work swimmingly well. The equation is US Chest size in inches; Europe US Chest size in CM divided by 2. Perry
