Is this color combination off somehow or is it just me? - Page 2

The problem is not the color. Its the prep. The outfit sounds totally fine to me actually. Topsiders (in general, sockless loafers) are becoming less of a prep item.. in my head it sounds like its working fine.

Brian, succumbing to a trend (sockless loafers) before I do. Let the record show this. Personally, I burned out on the deck shoes thing in grade 9 (yes, I am that old), but I think that in this particular case, it is both the color and probably the proportions that threw this off. Even a marginally slightly more formed and bulkier sneaker like the Tigers, especially in a light color, stopped you from looking like you have twinkle toes.

Are you saying Tigers (Mexico 66 naturally) are more bulky than Topsiders? The proportions were fine anyway. It was all fairly slim stuff: AA hoodie, RL custom fit polo, ES hutch.

And complaining about clashing tones (denim vs. nautical) is sort of ridiculous, since we're talking streetwear here.

Also, prep 4ever.
