Honestly, this fabric isn't up to par from what I've seen from others made with White Oak fabric, which was to be expected really. They'll be going back, but it was worth checking out I felt. The fit is surprisingly slim for EB, and construction is very solid. Not bad for $80, better than most things I've seen at that price. Hidden rivets, chain stitching, leather patch and decent hardware are all surprising at this level.

Thanks for the info on the jeans man. I am getting an EB gift card soon (I returned some things) so I'll probably pick these jeans up.

Sorry, I'm not even keeping the chinos long enough to take a picture. The material is absolutely horrendous. The closest comparison I can think of would be a very shallow velvet with the pliability of a pipe cleaner. You should't be able to bend your pants into different shapes while you're wearing them. They are also quite baggy for someone my size.

That stinks.
How did the 628s fit?

I like the material on them. But then again, I'm into very rigid fabrics.

Seems to be across the board with fit. I like the way my comer fits. I like the material and the button stitches themselves but the buttons are on the cheaper side which is expected

How much do the Madras shirts shrink? I'm actually talking about a regular LE madras, not from the Canvas line, but I don't think it's worth starting a separate thread.

I went into a store and tried on the madras shirts. I normally wear a medium shirt, but these were very big. The M was too big, and the S was fine. Are these cut big because they're going to shrink a bunch?

And do they require ironing?

I highly recommend the regular LE line madras shirts. Yes, they are oversized -- size down one full size from LEC and J. Crew. They probably won't require ironing, maybe a quick touchup on the placket though. They won't shrink much at all.

In my experience nothing I have ever purchased from Land's End has shrunk more than a tiny bit. Even the cotton sweater that I washed in HOT water and then dried on high.

Do they have a sitewide 25% off and free shipping coupon going on right now? If not anyone know how frequent those are? Might try some of their straight fit comer chinos

I have 3 of the LEC madras shirts and haven't noticed any shrinking.
