FYI: For members in the Washington DC area, the Sears at Fair Oaks has a large Lands End Canvas section. I want to say they have most everything listed in the catalog - they even carry the boots that were reviewed in this thread earlier.

For what it's worth, my lace-up boots have held up a little better than those pictured earlier in the thread. They're not anything spectacular though. I can't recommend them, particularly at their current ($150) price point. I'll try to get some pictures when I can.

No, sorry I confused myself because this is the Land's End thread so it seemed fitting to type Land's End despite talking about LL Bean. LL Bean had 20% off last week.

If they come out with the marl blazer in a medium grey, I'll be all over it.

After seeing the lace-up boots in person, I'm of the opinion that they are just too clunky for having leather outsoles. If I can't really wear them in the wet (1/2 of the year in Minnesota), I'd want something sleeker and dressier.

Ordered the slim fit chinos and the "heritage poplin shirt" from LEC because it was very cheap and worth a shot. Terrible stuff. The chinos were overall what you might expect from the Gap or similar store but the cut of the pants was incredibly unflattering. The pockets flared out, added about an inch to your waist on either side. Someone reviewed them and called said it turned them into a pregnant woman - very accurate. Garbage.

Ordered a size large heritage poplin buttondown shirt and I may as well have been wearing a sail. This thing fit HUGE. The length was so long you wouldn't be able to wear it untucked. Fit was unflattering. Construction looked on par with Gap stuff. For reference I am 6'1, 205lb... Large-XL in most brands. XXL in BoO.

Both items are going back and I will not be ordering from them again. Thumbs down.

I've noticed that while their Heritage Poplin Shirts fit slim in the chest and arms, they don't taper very much towards the waist--there is some taper, but it seems to be insufficient proportionally (i.e. with respect to the chest and sleeves).
