Beatin my ass into shape - Page 2

Hey dude, you could be like, a superhero or something, specializing in settling domestic disputes Lots of running after people followed by punching. Then more running (away from the locals - who don't like superheroes or mutants.) Very dynamic. Very start-stop. You'll be in great shape in no time.

You probably already know this, but as a heads-up just in case, juices can be just as fattening as soda, often more so. The problem with both soda and fruit juices is that they're basically just sugar.

fresh squeezed. The elbow grease of my maid is the only additive ("hmm salty"), but good looking out, thanks.

Swimming would help with muscles and cardiovascular health. But it would require more than 20 minutes and access to water.

lifting weights is the best way too lose it. cardio only burns calories during and after excersize. building more muscle burns calories constantly. and im not talking about getting huge just building up what you already have.

ok this is the mattworkout i started yesterday. im running my stairs and putting 'the prison workout' in between. run stairs, 6 burpies, run stairs, 5 burpies etc till I have done 5 laps of the stairs and down to 1 burpie on the last one. It has left me pretty damn sore, so I guess its not a bad way to do it. thoughts?

One alteration you may want to consider is to run up one flight of the steps, then walk across the floor to the steps on the other side of the building, then run up that flight, etc. Same on the downs. Lessen the strain a bit so that you don't screw up your knees. And keep the cardio effect going longer. Probably will be able to run a bit faster when you are running, too.
