In the previews, the earth crumbles away just behind the vehicle driven by the main characters. Then the runway crumbles just behind the airplane as it takes off. Then the airplane in inexplicably flying in between buildings....just as they happen to be crumbling.

Looks like bullshit.

Looks like overblown garbage. Seriously, can we stop the overuse of CGI and go back to models and puppets already?! Fuck!

WTB a resurgence of the Jim Henson company.

Looks AWESOME.

I think people need to take this movie for what it is....a highly CGI'd B-type-movie. I can't wait to see how the world falls apart.

I think it's pretty awesome, but I can see where it's an acquired taste for some.

i've already seen this movie.

it was called the day after tomorrow.

looks like a horrible waste of time so i'll probably get dragged to go see it.

I'll watch anything with John Cusack.

My impression of the trailer was that 2012 is knowing camp, like "Snakes on a Plane" on a much larger scale.

I don't think it looks that good.

Not quite as awesome as "outrunning" a deep freeze as in Day After Tomorrow.

Haha, exactly. And it's Roland Emmerich who does 2012...so he probably just uses old footage from Day After, Godzilla and Independence Day.

Not going to watch it, the different trailer versions basically showed all the possible good scenes in the movie.
The movie is so overblown that i once watched its trailer three times before a movie, they were all different versions too...
