Experience with Dental Caps

Thread Starter
I'm going to get 3 teeth capped soon (my lateral incisors and between my two front teeth).

What are your experiences with caps?

I've only gotten porcelain crowns on molars. It's an involved procedure but not painful.

Caps sounds like they'll be similar.

It's no big deal.

My dad got a couple. They are quite good, and the dentist matched the shades quite well.

Usually takes a couple hours...ask for laughing gas to make time pass quickly

crowns are referred to caps by most lay persons. should not be painful. only thing that might be a little inconvienent is that you have to come back to get it cemented once it comes back from the lab.

cad-cam crowns are nice since they only require one trip to the dentist.

one thing to consider is that if you're thinking about bleaching your teeth, bleach them first and then get the crowns done as the crowns are not affected by bleaching strips, trays, etc.

feel free to pm if you have any other q's.
