Ignoring all the fuss about price and quality, I think [in this shot at least] they look pretty damn cool paired with the grey denim. Definately a conversation piece.

Thanks for the comments folks. I wasn't crazy about the stitching on the sides of the heels, but I suppose that's not all that visible when worn anyway.

When I was 22 I thought hobo shoes are very Paris chick. I even bought some stupid Collection Privee atrocities. I grew up and realised that what makes hobo-shoes chick is when Serge Ginsbourg or J.P Belmondo is wearing them.
To my view it is beyond lame: kinda like wearing a sweater splattered with paint while being a financial analyst.

They are Augusta which was born out of the Carpe Diem disbanding (like Linea, m.a.+, etc).

WTF is up with all this SoCal hate?? I make fun of the guys clothing as much as the next guy but fuck me, we are talking about shoes and in particular, a pair of shoes that he liked enough to buy with his own money. Alot of the well made shit that gets posted here is ugly in its own way, not sure why he is being singled out. not that he gives a crap, but I hate posts like this because it discourages people from posting pics of their stuff, you see the same thing in the WAYWT thread. There are only so many variations on British brown captoes that I need to see.

Agreed. You don't have to like them, and you can even tell him they look fugly, but at a certain point, give it up.

I think the best part about those shoes is how far inside Plotter's head they got. I'm assuming that aspect of the purchase alone justified the price to SoCal. Man, if you could step outside your own venom for a minute and read your posts you'd see how ridiculous you sound. There are some people that post in WAYW that have seriously well-made, expensive, bespoke stuff that I think looks clownish. What happens if you somehow conclusively determine that the shoes are not made to the highest standard? I can find you a lot of stuff in the clothing world that is overpriced vs. build quality - or put another way, for which you pay a premium based on the designer/manufacturer/associated name. So what? Does that make it any less dumb of a purchase than a nike golf shirt when a comparable unlabeled shirt (or distressed vs. shrink to fit jeans) can be had for less? To each his own.

^^I sense that there is much resentment in the quoted posts based on SoCal's ability and propensity to spend as much as he does. I personally don't like more than half the things SoCal post pictures of, but I'm glad he shares them on here, and I definitely don't think there is a need to insult and publicy denigrate the guy.
