Wow they really do look a like. The problem for me is that for some reason the 8000 fits much better than the 337. Anybody else have the same problem?

They indeed look very much alike. I'd like the JL 2004 welt cut closer to the upper, I mean not to extend that much, that'd make it look even more elegant.

I've lost track of the number of times I've said this, but I love the Vintage 2004...

The Balmuir also looks very nice, but the Vintage 2004 stands out more to me. Maybe you should replace the round laces with flat ones and take another comparison shot.

Congratulations. I think they look better than anything currently on their website. Which model is it?

That's one beautiful pair of JL boots. Love the color. What's the model and last? How about the briefcase?

I went to the Allen-Edmonds tent sale today and came back with these two beauties. The Castine mocs were only 15% off as it's a current model. But the loafers were 60% off as they were discontinued.

All right, the boots are nice!
But they pale into insignificance, next to that absolutely gorgeous Hermès briefcase.

I'm easy to please: just that briefcase (and a "˜Richard Lange' watch), forget about the boots.

The shoes are gorgeous with even more gorgeous briefcase to match.

Most men need only one or two briefcases. It's ok to for us to collect shoes but it's kind of weird if men collect briefcases like the way women collect purses or handbags.

Thanks guys, I really like the boots, out of all my JL shoes, I like this boots the most, second favorite is the jermyn II.

Actually when I was there in JL's Paris shop, I wanted the darker, sort of greenwish color Tudor, but they didn't have my size, so I settled with chestnut.

And yes, it is a Hermes briefcase. I have always wanted one, but they are so expensive. This is the first and the last one that I will get.

My next big purchase will be a JL bespoke, I saw a monk shoe there that I liked so much, but they say they only make that style for bespoke lines.

Time to start saving money again.

I assume you are talking about JL Paris bespoke not JL St. James? I saw some samples of the JL Paris bespoke at its Madison Ave. store, they are truly amazing, absolutely beautiful. If I go bespoke I'd pick JL Paris over JL St. James in a New York second.
