The Tramezzas are marked as 8.5E and I'd say they fit like a narrow 9D... tight on first fitting but I think they will break-in to be just right. The FAMs are marked simply "8" -- they feel about a 1/4 size larger but quite similar. The widest part of the FAM is a bit further back so it feels slightly roomier. If you're a more towards the 9.5 I'd go 1-up on both.

Here's a pair of Carmina double-monks in shell cordovan that I recently acquired.

I bought those in Madrid. I'm actually not sure what color they are. The don't quite look like either color 8 or cigar, so I was wondering if this was the mysterious Ravello? It could just be color 8 in something I'm not used to seeing.

They had green cordovan shoes, but I thought they were ugly. I wanted to get some in blue but was told in one store that they didn't carry it, even on special order, and in another that you could only order blue in Paris. Next time I'm in Paris I'll give them a ring and see what I can come up with. Part of the problem is that I don't speak Spanish and it is difficult to communicate in Madrid without it. Paris will be much less of a problem. Alas, I'm not currently scheduled to go there.

Ditto - great to see shell cordovan put to good use outside of the Alden, AE traditional styles. Sky Valet in DC is the only Carmina dealer I have come across. Any others in the US?

How is the C&J pricing in Sweden? I'll be there in a couple weeks but I suspect the exchange rate will not be in my favor. The toe caps may be all I can afford.

Regular grade from SEK 3300 (incl. VAT) and up. Handgrade from SEK 4500 (incl. VAT) and up. It really depends on what store you buy them in. PM me if you're coming to Stockholm and wants a few tips on where to buy.

I paid roughly $545 (SEK 3700) for them, and that is the standard price for the benchgrade collection. Handgrade is $690 (SEK 4700). So they are a little above Pediwear prices with the current exhange rate. This is BTW the authorized dealer and they get them directly from C&J. /C

Ravello is a warm golden brown, a shade darker than Whiskey. (Not dissimilar to your parquet floor.)

I bought these to flip, but they fit perfectly and have enough quirk to catch my interest. I don't need another bal, really, but these seem pretty casual, so I'm thinking of wearing them with most anything. Thoughts?

I like those a lot. Where do you guys get these Tramezzas? I never see them.

I agree. With the brogueing, I think you can get away with wearing these with sportcoats, cords...

Do you know which model that is? From eBay?
