Shoe Damage Report & Porn Central - Part I - Page 174

Thanks guys. The trees are pretty but what a pain to take them out and put them back in. They're even tighter and closer to the shoe shape than Vass trees. It's a bit of exercise every time...

You stole my idea! I was the first one who took pictures of shoes basking in the warm gentle sunset(rise) light!

Did you get them from Ian? Beautiful shoes! The gentle sunlight really brings out the color, finish and texture of the shoes. The trees are piece of art on their own. Did you notice the trees were crafted from one same whole piece of wood?

You know what they say about imitation being the best form of flattery...

Yes - got them from Ian - I actually did not notice the trees were from the same piece of wood. I'll check them out closer. Did you get a pair from him too? Are your trees as snug fitting as mine?

Truly pornworthy St.Crispin's gdl! The St.Crispins trees are not only made of a single piece, the (bespoke) customer even can't choose the kind of wood that should be used because they claim that not everything is always available in sufficient quality. As to the "snug fitting" I suppose it's rather perfectly lasted than too tight feeling? At least St.Crispins claims to invest a whole day carving a fat block of wood to a tree that virtually is a kind of last. (if anyone hasn't read their info on the website, I really recommend it).

Nice shoes gdl.

I had Jason make me some hollow trees as well for traveling. They are nice and light.

No, I didn't get any from Ian. He only has a pair of black blucher in my size and I have enough black bluchers already.

The Vass shoe trees, both the 3-pieces and the spring-loaded versions, are also crafted from the same piece of wood.

I've been putitng spare Epics in them, but mainly because I like how it takes away the smell, and not primarily to keep them in shape (if the latter at all sounds logical).

Am not too sure about the spring loaded version. When I've been to the workshop to pick up my lasted trees(3 pce) and my last they putted together the spring loaded out big boxes with the different parts. At least the knob either on both of them is a extra piece.

Lattanzi also uses a two-piece spring tree.

I attached a pic below which should be close to the proper color, they are quite orange actually, very bright.

They actually felt fine, didn't really mind the thin soles. I went to Topy them last night as I didn't want to wear out the soles toooo fast and they DO feel much more comfortable now Unfortunately, if you look closely you can see that they didn't do too good a job on topying them and I'll need lots of edge dressing
