Still recovering from a nasty flu bug and jet lag but I had enough energy this afternoon to get these pics up.

Corthay, as many of you know, is somewhat difficult to find unless you live in Paris or Tokyo. Last week I thought I'd indulge and left we these two pairs. It took everything I had not to purchase a third.

Made in France, patina done personally by Pierre Corthay himself.

Much more to follow from my week in Paris including a demi-measure experience at Charvet, demi-measure at Berluti, shopping at Arny's, and some general observations about Paris and its stylish people. Plus some good news for Corthay lovers living in the States.

Think of the shoe bags as lingerie . . .

The second pair seems to out-Berluti Berluti. For good or ill...

The patina on the Bucy's is over exaggerated by the flash. I'll take others in natural light.

Great shoes. I'm interested by your demi-mesure experience at Berluti too.

Guys,

I noticed that there exisist some Allen-Edmonds outlet shops in europe!! I was wondering wheather someone already tried it and if it's any good - especially for 'normal' (7,5) sizes.

Thanks!!

Beautiful Bill. Love the stitching lines on the first pair.

How did you enjoy Berluti? Did you have a good experience there? I got some RTW at that store and had great service.

Pierre offered them to me for 684EU on sale, the Cocteau's were 720EU. I wouldn't suggest ordering them via phone before you try them on. Once I get to my post on the subject you'll find out a lot more.
