Oh my word. Those are NICE! Well done, VR, those are in excellent taste!

I don't have anything exciting to report. I will post pictures of those RL english boots when I receive them. Other than that, I snagged some (*gasp*) J. Crew branded suede brogued boots. Rubber soles, brown with a touch of brown mustard shading. Made in Italy, I think I know the manufacturer but not certain. Easy decision for 24.99 new. I like brogueing, I like boots... easy decision. Wearing them right now with some heavy duty english wool/synthetic thermal socks (wish I remembered the manufacturer) to break them in. Yes, I wear boots and heavy socks in over 90 f weather. What can I say

Thanks guys. I really like the treatment of the medallions, they were darkened a little bit to make them standout visually. What approach should I use to polish the Mackay Edwardian? I am thinking using the same method gdl used in polishing his 969; I'll polish the whole shoe in neutral cream and then a touch of light brown polish on the toes.

I really like the new RLPL bi-tubular spring-loaded trees vs. the old hinged ones, except for the fact the trees weren't marked with last # and sizes. So you either you have to pull out the trees one pair at a time or you really know all the trees with their corresponding last # by sight.

Fresh from the Mansion, EG RLPL Mackay Edwardian 888 last, the color and antiqueing are absolutely stunning:

What size are those and what time did you pick them up? I won't feel so bad if it were another SF'er who got them while I was on the phone with the Mansion requesting them....

Well both the timing and size are off by just a bit. I was on the phone at 4:30 in search of a 10

The Carter is honestly one of my favorite shoes. And the sole thickness is just perfect.

Z, I agree the Carter is one my favorites too, and I consider it as one of the top 5 EG shoes ever. I just picked one up myself too. RLPL should have ordered the Carter in more color options, it will be stunning in burnt pine or Edwardian.

I should have an Ecton in acorn arriving early next week from the UK, I'll post as soon as it does. Virginia Dandy also has a lovely example from last year's trunk shows.

Andrew, I think you should post an EG pictorial color chart like sysdoc did. I know that kind of responsibility may now fall on your shoulder whether you like it or not. I don't think my color chart is as complete as yours, over top of my head I only have Acorn, Dark Oak, Chestnut, Edwardian and may be another shade or two of brown or burgundy that I don't know what they called in EGreenian color scheme.

Will do VR...I think I have most everything save birch. I'll include suedes too.

Edit: New thread posted with color study of basic EG hides. I will do comparisons of suedes and country hides as well.
