Would never advice anyone to order this as their "first" proper dress shoe, though.

But for a shoe-nut with already a nice rotation of Vass, EG's, G&G's, CJ's, etc....this could absolutely work.

+1

How many pairs of "normal" looking dress does a guy need? After 10-20 pairs, it's time to go pimp/dandy

Those would look good in espresso, v. dark brown. I think the design is a bit 'loud' for burgundy.

To a shoe person, these are very, very nice.

I would even switch the calf eyestay for burgandy suede.

Does medallion look off-center on the right shoe as well?
Did they do it to you too?

Nice shoe. How to they compare to C&J 'Main Collection', 'Handgrade' and Edward Green?

I've always thought Tricker's were a bit of a dark horse. I prefer Tricker's to C&J MC stuff.

Close counts in horse shoes and high quality men's shoes

Great minds think alike But I couldn't get Vass to do navy suede, let alone burgandy

I suppose I was interested in the finer points of detail. The soles look particularly nice. Edward Green and Lobb are, of course, at the top of the RTW food chain, so to speak. My EG's are lovely shoes. I'm after a black business shoe for work, but I'm not prepared to pay EG prices.

Whether it's a hit or miss, it's not mine, it's a floor display model with pictures I took during my recent visit to this store:

causing these damages:

I think the model is a hit, but I'll order one with heel counter.

More pictures from the store:

More to come.

All those beautiful budapesters - are those on the P2 last? And that suede norweger. I wouldn't know where to stop. I'll take just about everything in those pics.
