No, not because of construction. Because their styling is ostentatious and a hideous parody of itself. I could take a dump and mold it into a shoe shape and it would make better looking footwear.

??!!!!

Some of the shoes are attractive. The leather goods look kind of plasticky in person (IMHO).

Well, some of the designs are quite inspired. But what they've put out over the last three or five years has been pretty dire. I daresay Olga might adopt your process for her new "Throne Collection -- Forged in Moments of Contemplation of the Goddess Cloaca"...

Can someone in the Atlanta area teach me how to do this? I'll compensate you for your time.

Google spit shine, gang, and you will find some help. Wax and hard work are very important, too. But, in short Start by cleaning up your shoes, esp. the cap or toe box, if that's the area you intend to shine. Second, apply some good leather conditioner; I use some funky beeswax stuff called Crema Alpina. Make sure there isn't any excess left by using a buffing brush or a good cloth. Now, for the polish, first start with the basic layer (either match the colour to your shoes or use a neutral wax). Apply this with an old t-shirt or any other cotton cloth, such as a sock wrapped round your finger. Make sure that the cloth is taut. Apply the basic and moderate level of wax to the shoe. Let it dry for about ten minutes. Grab another bit of cotton, dip it in some warm water and start to rub that layer of wax in small circles until it's glossy; it won't be glass-like just yet. Once there's a slight gloss move on to the next step or even use a buffing brush. Now, dip a clean piece of cloth into the warm water and then put some wax on it, but not too much, and rub it on to the layer of wax already there. Keep doing this but with ever decreasing levels of wax. You don't want to use too much wax, esp. not any more than you used the first time round, otherwise you'll end up dissolving what's there. I like to finish things off with a pair of stockings ... to buff the shoes, of course. Of course, I urge you all to use google or just to search these forums for a better method.

The end result for me after a quick polish and a poor photograph. They're EG Chelseas on the 82 last.
