These are obviously very very expensive retail value (>$2000) if they are indeed the Santoni limited edition.

I'm perplexed by the shoddy attention to details exhibited by the ill-fitting dove-tail rubber piece of the toplift. This is seen on the likes of Allen Edmonds.

Also not a fan of all that gratuitous and ostentatious stitching around the heel.

Santoni LE's were selling for $650 at the recent sale. Good price for LE, not enough for me to want to have any of them.

^^^Nice looking shoes, but not my taste.

^^ I've seen those at the Jermyn St. Store. They are really *hefty*. The kind of shoe you could take off and beat someone to death with - should the need arise.

I hope that works, because you won't be able to outrun anyone

Yes they are.

Oh come on, Moo. They're not ugly. They're more to the tastes of AAAC than SF, but please. I think the way they're being worn makes them particularly meh, but the LHS is not an ugly shoe at all. And not geriatric.

Stick you your young boys Kenneth Cole and Croc shoes. When you get bored you can sport the occasional Ugg.

These shoes are a lot of work but a bit OTT design wise.

It's a good job that they are not mine, or I'd be in tears by now

I actually quite like them. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on them, but I could see them with some jeans!!

Cheers
