I suppose it is a mixed blessing wearing the same size shoes as the proprietor of the country's top shoe emporium. The good news is that there is always something interesting in my size in stock. And that is the bad news also.

Lovely shoes. Someday, when I save enough, I'll buy a pair of sandringhams.

Thanks. G&G can also make round toes that aren't pointy. Hopefully iammatt will post pictures of his because he requested a fairly round toe.

Have you also seen the previous pair of monks they made for me? I can't find pictures of it (maybe it was lost in the great crash), but I'll try to dig them up if you're interested.

St. Crispins has redesigned its website and it now includes shoes that for one reason or another have been made but were not sold. There are odd styles and sizes available at reduced prices.

Sizing is such a problem with shoes that are not stocked across the country in a variety of sizes.

The Sandringham's are probably my 20th pair of EGs. And showed me that all the other pairs are the wrong sizes. I started EG collecting with 8.5/9D RLPL sourced EGs, then found that the slightly wider 8.5/9E UK sizing available from EG or Leather Soul was a better fit. These shoes are 8.5/9F 888 and fit perfectly.

I can't wear a 9/9.5E EG but these fit me as well as my 8.5/9E 8000 lasted JLs. So those that go up in size for EG from JL might try a wider EG. At least that appears to be what I need to do to adjust between makers.

The ability to actually regularly visit Hawaii and try great shoes on has been incredibly helpful in figuring out the right sizing.

Nice. Did you strip the color first? Or just add on top of it?

What do you guys think of these Ferragamos (Lorenzo)?

The somewhat square toe has been somewhat nervous...

You would be somewhat on crack to even somewhat consider wearing these

They aren't to my taste, but I don't think they're all that bad either.
