Thanks! They will be my "go to" rain shoe. I'm really happy about them and have actually really been waiting a long time for a rubber soled shoe that I could love. This is it.

Nice colour, and 8000 last as well.

In all these discussions you have lots of handwork but it is hard to find out exactly how much there is. There seems to be maker specific judgment on what is called "handmade"

The leather and finish on the Lobb are just too refined and beautiful to be worn as rain or snow shoe.

I find that even after getting soaked, good leather can polish up really well.

The Lobb rubber sole is real nice. Z, you've come to a point where you have enough leather soled EG and JL that you need to stock some rubber sole version for rainy days.

I'm not a big single buckle monkstrap guy but I kinda like these. Different in a good way.

Crockett & Jones Handgrade Rosebery, 330 last, UK 7E:

I don't usually like penny loafers, but I was quite surprised at how sleek and elegant these looked on the 330 last. They also seem to fit small - the shoe trees in them are the ones I usually use for my UK 6E shoes. I'm not sure if this is due to the 330 last or the model (I'm guessing loafers need to fit tight?).

Crockett & Jones Handgrade Savile, 337 last, UK 10E:

These were huge.
