Shoes that will keep my feet dry in London

Hello gents,
I'm looking for a nice pair of shoes that will go with jeans that I can wear around in miserably rainy London weather. I'm open to all suggestions from casual to formal. The key to this question is that I should be able to wear them to work all day without looking too out of place (I'm in IT).
Thanks.

Aside from the Rain Chucks, I would look into some galoshes. Then you can have the best of both worlds

Those all-star galoshes are awesome! Where can you buy them?

I've been browsing hanon-shop every now and then and once I came across goretex plimsolls. That's sort of the style I'm after if anyone can suggest where I could buy something similar.

To the OP, plenty of boots you can wear once you waterproof them...

Hmm, this might be the solution. I've got a pair of Crockett and Jones Tetburys that would to the job with a little waterproofing. What would you suggest I use?

Got 'em at UO for $80. LINK.

Also, they have completely black ones which are awesome.

I've seen those Converse in a store in Montreal - the only one that caught my eye as I don't really wear trainers. I stopped myself - would go with a great mustardish cowl half cardi I bought.

So (as converse intended) I just had a flashback to digging around in creekbeds for crayfish while wearing green rubber boots with yellow trim that I guess inspired those rubber chucks. Was there a brand that did those boots or was it just a generic style? All I can find online are hunter boots and I don't THINK that's what I was wearing at age 8.
