At this point Amir has become a sellout that's all about the money with no regard for glory.

He was content to be inactive at welterweight hoping to 'save himself' (couldn't risk another humiliating loss since the 147 division was getting hot again) for Floyd and manny. Floyd only fights guys coming off a flashy victory so Amir wasn't going to get a match.

Amir is making smart moves financially.

Alvarez is a good payday even if it's very likely Amir gets owned.

Following the defeat he can return to Britain and get paid handsomely to be a stepping stone for Kell Brook.

Now I could be wrong and Amir somehow performs well against Alvarez. In this scenario he'd be one of the most confident motherfuckers in boxing.

I'm not sure he can perform well against Canelo but who knows? I'm VERY surprised he took this fight, I mean Canelo is already huge for 155. Khan got rocked by Algeri for goodness sakes.

But to his credit he's never in a boring match so at least it will be entertaining

so Keith Thurman just got into a car accident and the fight with Porter will be pushed back for later

Ain't that a b1tch. Quite possibly the best boxing match of 2016

Lotta rumors about a comeback lately.

I fear he might really return.

Today is May 2nd, 2016.

Here's to Floyd beating pacquiao's azz last year on this day.

Floyds definitely coming out for that 50th fight but sadly I am not sure who he can fight that will get him that 9figures outside of a rematch with Pac.

Mayweather Promotions files for 'TMT 50,' 'TBE 50' trademarks

I think he'll do more than one fight.

He indirectly tells on himself. It'll be Danny Garcia next. Listen to how open and enthusiastic he sounds about fighting him. His mind is already made.

When the commentator asks Floyd about winner of Thurman-Porter Floyd quickly changes the topic. He has no interest there.

Garcia has one of the best resumes among the welterweights. He kicked Lucas Matty's azz along with Amir back when the latter was still relevant. These accomplishments eclipse anything Brook, Bradley, Thurman, and Porter have done.

It's also a wise choice for a 39 year old man coming off a break. Garcia is a well marketed Latino with an easy style for Floyd. Smart way for Floyd to measure the current state of his powers and get to 50-0.

I wanted to see Floyd-Brook, but Kell Brook is content with fighting lame opposition and being overlooked for it.

Many of Garcias fans has turned on him, many believes he lost against Herrera and has just been a disappointment outside of fighting tomato can (Salka) or aging retirees (Malignaggi).

Garcia is fighting Berto next and he's going to have to really impress and KO him to really get that fight going and secure him against Money next.

Don't think he'll get that 9-figure payday with Garcia though so I don't think he'll take that fight in the end.

Regardless of who Floyd comes back against I'm confident it'll be a highly beatable fighter for him to measure where he's at.

Garcia
The alpha to emerge among Brook-Thurman-Porter
Bradley

Floyd should fight 1 or 2 of those then bounce. imo a primed beast like Errol Spence would be pain in the azz. A younger Floyd would beat him more easily. Boxing talent has booms and busts. Floyd is taking advantage of the bust before Errol shows up as the next alpha.

I have no doubt he'd still win, I really do not see anyone in the division that can beat him. No one has really risen up to that level yet as of today.

I guess Crawford but I'd have to see how he does against Postol, that one should be an interesting match.

I hope they fight soon. The winner would be a worthy comeback opponent for Floyd. Having them fight first is better than going at either raw.

Brook would impressively school Garcia. Floyd loves fighting guys coming off good looking wins.

I doubt Garcia fights Brook before he faces Mayweather, they are saving that zero to get paid against him.

His dad/trainer was pretty much questioning why Thurman and Porter would fight each other when they can fight a tomato can like Salka lol8[1].gif
