Russian River BrewCo is literally 3 minutes from my apartment. I love going there for beer, but the food is terrible and the crowd is annoying.

They do make some of the best beer in America, though. Kyle, did you go on the weekend? Is Goose Island still around in Chicago? Their beers were always great. I always liked Live Oak Brewery in Austin.

Deschutes. Don't think it is distributed outside the PNW though. Cinder cone red might be my favorite beer - extremely well balanced.

+1 for Three Floyds and Goose Island, and to throw some love to a brewery that hasn't been mentioned, let me add New Belgium (Colorado) to the mix.

Brewed in my hometown. I like their Oberon!

I get to travel, alot, and in my mind Colorado seems to have the best breweries. Two breweries definitely stand out. New Belgium with their 1554, and Odells with their 90 Shilling Ale.

I've had some in SF and in LA, so it's at least distributed on the west, not just NW.

+1 on New Belgium, also Bear Republic is another good one. Dogfish Head is always good as well.

Ommegang, Dogfish Head, and Russian River Co are prob my 3 favorites. Dogfish head has a ridiculous amount of different exotic brews to try which is nice. I wish i stopped by for a tour on my trip up the coast. I've been to the Sam Adams tour but i'm not a huge fan of their beers. The Harpoon brewery is really near me and might do their little tasting or tour thing. A friend of mine works for Harpoon so whenever we have get togethers and he's involved he always brings a big sampler pack of harpoon brews
