I am really excited about this one... waiting to get it in. Shturmanskie with the Soviet air-force issued 31659 movement. Thankfully it is not one of the watches that pull exhorbitant prices on eBay (unfortunately, like the Strela ).
May not be a Patek or something but I have a thing for pilot's watches.
Funnily enough it has the civilian-issue case but that is easy remedied.

that one's got lots of, er, character. is it a fixer-upper, or are you going for the wabi-sabi aesthetic?

i've always thought the grey face on that one was graphically nice.

wear is good. Anyway, will be swapping the movement in to a correct, non-civilian case so it does not really matter.

the pig nose turtle, or fly river turtle. no it is not endangered, and they are bred in captivity afaik.

You can sometimes buy that type of turtle in Chinatown markets.
