It turns out that my girlfriend's headphones don't work on my tablet which we used to watch movies on a flight recently. She wore my active noise cancelling headphones while I used my gym earbuds which made it VERY hard for me to listen to the dialogue in the movie.

I just bought a set of those monoprice IEM's along with some Comply S400 tips for a better seal. I've been a HUGE monoprice fan for over 6 years. Glad to see that they're branching out with their product offerings.

For those Comply's, how do you know which size to get? I just picked up a pair of the Monoprices for $5 on a flyer. Might as well deck them out.

I usually wear the medium connectors when I have buds so I figured that would hold true for these guys as well.

You can get a combo set consisting of large, medium and small ones. This is what I'd do. They last for two to eight weeks, depending on how careful you are with them. Regularly clean them with some water and mild soap. Always put the IEMs in their case, never directly into your bag or pockets, the tips get damaged easily.

Their seal is pretty darn good. I have a pair of TF10 and due to their wearability issues, I can't go without Comply T500s.

only 2-8 weeks? that sucks.

I bought those monopole earbuds a while back and never wore them because they were so awkward and uncomfortable. Didn't feel like buying $15 tips or whatever for $10 earbuds.

Earbuds are a strange thing. People have REALLY different ears. Some that are comfortable for me are terrible for my friends and vice versa.

These are canalphones, or IEMs. Earbuds are a different thing. teacha.gif

The material has its limits. But it offers great comfort and a great seal. And the Complys are longlasting compared to similar cheaper tips.

Decided I need to start keeping better backups including an off-site backup (lug a HDD back and forth from the office once every couple of months)

SATA drive hot swap bay

and a little antistatic/antishock case.

Now I can just stick a drive in the front of my computer and do a backup. Maybe not as versatile as a usb drive, but it is easier and I already have some bare drives (and new ones are cheaper)...

Also, I'm starting to be more disappointed in amazon prime. Ordered yesterday and they've estimate monday delivery. Obviously I can't fault them for it now showing up today (although in the past it used to be 1-day shipping most of the time), but monday? It would still get here on monday if sent priority mail today. You would think they would include saturday delivery.
