It was $225 off retail, she said she has 2 Palisander (the most expensive type) and she might have ash. It was an ebay seller who sells a bunch of HM stuff.

Sidewalk sale down the street. Authentic Knoll Saarinenn chairs in great condition. Price was too good to be true. I'll probably bring them into my office. Maybe consider reupholstering.

If you do decide to reupholster, let us know how it turns out. I recently picked one up and have been thinking about doing it as well.

Do you have any guess at how many yards are needed for this type of chair? I'm guessing two to three, but I don't know. I've bought fabric from Modern Fabrics in the past. Here's the web site: http://www.modern-fabrics.com/
They specialize in mid-century modern and have stuff from Knoll, Maharam, and the like. They sell end of the bolt stuff, so their prices are quite good.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'd probably just measure the surface area of everything I can and add a yard or two. Worst case, you can have a pillow or arm covers made inexpensively with the scrap.

I went to go look at a vintage HM Eames lounge and ottoman today, it was pretty old, price as one would expect. The wood and legs were nice and in good condition, stickers and stuff intact, but the leather just disgusted me and I was ready to leave after looking at it once. That must be the worst upholstery leather I've ever seen in my life, it was paper-y and from what I know of leather, it would have cracked into pieces the minute someone sat on it.
Honestly, I'm thinking about going back to this store with Chinese fakes and checking out a $1000 replica in the highest of the three premium leather grades they have, it's not aniline leather but close to it in feel and look. What use is a chair like that if you can't sit in it without worrying you'll take the upholstery off it with your back?

New lamp from CB2.

I'm really happy with it. The quality is there and it adds a nice touch of color to my living room. Got a matching throw pillow too for my couch.

I meant to post this at the time. Got a new dining table and chairs from West Elm a few weeks ago during a sale. Stacked a 15% coupon on top of that so the price was nice.

Table's a little on the small side, but I am challenged with space in my current apartment. My plan is to flip the table when I eventually move to a place with a larger dining room area. Really like how it looks next to the chairs.

Was wary of getting it as I have an old 80's receiver that has many buttons on the remote but has been working intermittently, but it seems like all the functionality is there, the programmable LCD screen is definitely a bonus.

Will see how well it works day-to-day, hopefully can replace my 5 remotes completely.
