The shiny bit of aluminum on my desk:

I quite desperately needed a replacement for my Powerbook G4 and non unibody Macbook Pro which both lacked a screen, (unfortunate accident.)
It's the 15 inch base model, and I put in an HDcaddy instead of the superdrive, moved the original hard drive to the caddy and installed an OCZ Vertex 3 in the original hard drive bay.
Result: A ridiculously fast machine, boots up in around 15 seconds but I still have plenty of storage due to having two drives.

higher volume pumps work just fine on cars.

The key is that car tires are actually very low pressure compared to bicycles so its not like the pump won't work. The only problem is that there is far more air in a car tire so if you don't have a really high volume pump, it will take a long time. Of course if you are just down 5psi, its easier to just pump it up with a bike pump than drive to a gas station or drag out a compressor (I used a mediocre bike pump on my motorcycle and it didn't even take *that* long to get it up 10psi)

I would hate to have to pump 15psi into a car tire with a mini pump though...those are pretty much bicycle only.

Blackburn makes good pumps. You should get a lot of miles out of it.

What is it? ...or is this a guessing game?

I can make out 'Audiophile quality', so i'll guess it has something to do with audio.

Dunno why the pic came out so small, click for a larger image and you can make out what record it is. Thanks to Fran for the recommendation.

Judge me not, it was 7 bucks for 6 books, and they are pretty good.

Very popular with English students here in China, I'm always getting asked about Pride and Prejudice. Same with the Bronte novels, especially Jane Eyre.

Ah OK. I can make out '180G VINYL' so it must be an LP, and I can see 'Massey Hall 1971', which Google tells me is a Neil Young album. Do I get a prize? smile.gif

Just listened to this (digital) the other day a few times over, and I hardly ever listen to Neil Young. Grew on me.

Used Saarinen executive chair. I'm going to try to steam clean it, but it's in pretty good shape.
It'll replace an Ikea Poang for much less than the cost of a new Ikea Poang.

Brother MFC-7860DW Laser Printer for my new home office. Awesome wireless printer (with duplex!) for <$200! I'll never go back to crappy inkjets.

He's probably the new landlord.
