Those chairs either look like they're cheap ass plastic or someone is trying wayyy too hard to fit into a certain design.

I happen to rather like those chairs, especially if there was some way to upholster them in some weird and colorful exotic hide--maybe python, or a civet.

One of my favorite pictures of the Saarinen dining table is this one with the Louis Ghost chairs:

It's from this really cool blog post about Saarinens in different homes:

The technology used in those chairs is really cool. I believe that they are an outgrowth of wanting to utilize the new technology as much as they are about the design. Nevertheless, I like them, but do not have them. The Panton chairs I also like, and also do not have.

We have a television, and it was turned on for the first time in four months yesterday afternoon.

My furniture person showed me a picture of one of his clients' homes recently that had a white Panton chair at a kitchen table. I never thought that chair could look so comfortable being in such a utilitarian setting before.

I tried the Louis Ghost chairs (Andre's) and they are very comfortable. The Panton chairs, which I have, are comfortable for some things and less so for others. They are not so comfortable for me as dining room chairs, which is why we have them. Others find them more comfortable. How they feel in them depends very much on how you fit in them, so perhaps they need to be bespoke.
