Bookmarking audiobooks on an iPod

I'm listening to audiobooks in my ipod as of late, but it's becoming a headache since I can't set bookmarks at certain places that stay there (i.e. at the end of a chapter.) Does anyone know of any software that can help with this? I heard there were something out there called marksmen that added this precise capability, but it's been withdrawn (probably cause apple threatened to sue)

I think you can set your podcasts to remember the playback position, maybe you can use that somehow?

Don't know of anything else offhand.

it does that for me automatically, but the problems is if I switch audiobooks, it loses the bookmark in the old one. I was hoping for something a little more permanent, but it seems apple has blocked this technology
