You are asking about a long-running inside joke so naturally all the answers you have gotten are also inside jokes. I visit this site daily and I can hardly keep track of all the inside jokes that are flying around this place.

When I came to this forum, I thought most of the members belonged as me to the high burgueoise, descendant of the best europeans and semi aristocratic caucasians knew by their sofisfication and education.

I failed in my thoughts. Then the forum is plenty of racist jokes about this guy, fault of respect aboout me and my family in my villa assault attemp by some muslims etc.

This looks just as the mtv , non educated people with expensive clothes. Lumpen proletarians plenty of envy.

With some great exceptions.

My two cents.

Mafoofan is:

1) Approximately 25 years old & married
2) Works and lives in NYC as a lawyer
3) Amazingly skilled at Photoshop (check his foofing thread)
4) Amazingly good humored, esp considering the volume of friendly abuse hurled at him... I think he must be a masochist or something
5) A guy with a decent collection of bespoke wear - probably totalling at least $20K in value, tailored by top tailors in Italy
6) Item 5 was good enough such that he was selected to be one of the top 5 best dressed guys in the US and was featured on the morning show
7) One of the most knowledgeable members on the forum (actually probably the internet) with respect to fit, proportion and silhouette
8) A big contributor to the forum (unlike most lurkers and deadweight)
9) IMO, a real gentleman
