This is just so exciting. Angela Lansbury will be playing Madame Armfeldt. This is her first musical theater role since...shit, I don't even know. Late 80s? It's going to be one for the ages. I plan on making to to NY to see. "Academy Award–winner Catherine Zeta-Jones, five-time Tony Award®–winner Angela Lansbury and Olivier Award–nominee Alexander Hanson will star in the first Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s Tony Award–winning masterpiece A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, directed by Tony Award®- winner Trevor Nunn."

For the uninitiated, this means that Lansbury will be singing "Liaisons." I predict that hers will become the definitive version, better even that Regina Resnik's legendary take:
