Everything I need to know about Phoenix

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I just moved to Phoenix and am looking for a new tailor, dry cleaner and shopping.

I primariily used my last tailor for alterations, but he did some inexpensive MTM stuff - 100$ entry level shirts and 200$ pants. So, I'm looking for somewhere to get alterations done and somewhere to get cheaper mtm stuff.

I'm also looking for a good dry cleaner.

Any good shopping to check out? I've found some malls with the usual suspects already.

I live waaaaay out there in North Phoenix (101 and 51).

Thanks!

sounds like you would do well sticking to places like saks "off fifth," or even better the discounted neiman marcus store-- i've heard it is really good, especially if you can wait until something good in your size comes along.

it's actually in tempe, but i think it would be good to meet a salesperson there/ get his card:

My favorite tailor disappeared (damn light rail construction), so I am now using Brother's Tailors at Central and Camelback. Not real close to you.

As to dry cleaners, there's a very well respected one in North Scottsdale, but I'll have to do some digging for the name.

Shopping is easier. You have all the usual suspects and Scottsdale Fashion Square is the top of the food chain for malls.

As for discount shopping - there's a Nordstrom Rack quite near you at Scottsdale and Frank Lloyd Wright - there's the NM Last Call at Arizona Mills (I-10 and the 60) and there's Nordstrom's Last Chance at 18th Street and Camelback.

The best men's consignment clothing store is probably Well Suited, which is the men's version of My Sisters Closet. They're are two locations of Well Suited, one at Scottsdale & Lincoln and one at 20th Street and Camelback.

Enjoy checking it out and feel free to PM with questions.
