Kinda like Irish Coffee, except Egg Nog + Coffee + Rum. Served hot of course. Is there a name for this pretty delicious concoction? Hits a spot for my ongoing cold...

Proportions, PLZ. May try that with bourbon instead of rum. And I may reserve use for special occasions, such as my morning drive in to work.

Rum is good Thomas! Just have to buy the right ones. I suggest you start with:

In the interest of Karmic balance and universal harmony, I find it necessary to alternate between snobbery and plebian tastes in my choices of alcohol. My temporary bourbon snobbery must make way for rum plebianism, or martial disharmony will ensue.

Besides, I have a handle of Bacardi black label in the cave, and have got to do something with it!

Cook/bake with the Barcadi, buy a nice bottle to sip. You won't be sorry.

I second El Dorado by the way, although it might be entirely too sweet for those of us used to scotch, bourbon, and rye. However it does work fine in this thing. Proportions were kind of estimated to the best of my ability - maybe 8-10oz of black coffee, couple shots of nog, couple shots of rum. No additional sugar needed, at least for me. Really warms you up.

Its got a nice smoke to it. One of the smokier rums I've had. The Zacapa is sweeter, but sooo good.

bastards. Now I'm looking up Rums and thinking I might swing by Specs during my lunch break.

I think that is a marvelous idea! Mrs. Thomas might enjoy a nice rum too, so its a win win. Right?

She doesn't really drink much these days. And by much, I really mean "at all".

Almost too much so. Don't get me wrong, I finished a bottle of El Dorado by myself in less than a week, but it is a bit too much of "liquid candy"
