I don't post much on here guys but I love the forum and have great respect for all of you. I am in a moral dilemma. I am currently in grad school and have a ten page paper due next week. My boss is making me fly to Beijing this week. Cutting to the chase....I am not going to have time to do the research involved on this paper and do a good job on it. I am really thinking about buying one online and would like to know your experiences with it. I know it is wrong and I feel like a POS. Advice?

PM me your email, and I'll just send you an old paper of mine.

I'm not going to make a udgement call, you'll have to do that on your own.

If you do decide to, I will say that you should be wary of what you are buying. Paper mills are notorious for providing really bad papers, and they know that you have no recourse. You are up against a wall, and its not likely you will go to the authorities (they are probably registered overseas anyways) or be able to talk about it with the school.

Plus, no-one is really sure of what the antiplagerism software can catch these days, so you may end up in a heap of trouble.

So aside from the moral issue, buying a paper may leave you in a worse situation by the time you factor the time and money lost.

dude...just ask for an extension on the paper. Better to get a B then to do what you are proposing. Or...just hammer it out on the flight to China and take whatever score you get on it. At least your conscience will be clear.

I was just about to post something similar. I won't make an udgement call either, but since you are going to a part time program in the grand scheme it won't make as big a difference in the end compared to missing out on a full time paper since everyone will have similar time constraints, though at different times.

Dont ask for an extension....it shows weakness. Just take an essay and turn it in.

Report back!

I know if I was forced to sit in an airplane for 40+ hours I would have zero issue banging out a 10 page paper. Coffee and is your friend.

It's really easy for instructors to check for plagiarism, I've had to run nearly all of my work through turnitin.com

+1 for toughing it out and doing the work, even if it's a lower grade than you would have gotten otherwise.

+1 Try this first although it may be too late.

+1 How long have you had to do the paper? Can't you do the research before you leave? Does your library provide online access? It doesn't matter if it's not perfect, just get everything you think you might need saved to pdf or photocopied and you'll have plenty of time to get it done on the way or during the evenings when you're there. 10 pages is nothing. Risking getting busted for plagarism in grad school is fucking stupid. A 10 page paper can't be worth much of your grade. I'd rather take a zero, personally, and not because of my morals. It's simply not worth the risk imo.
