It looks like he's going for something along the lines of "Day Of The Dead" except with a little more humor...

I'll watch it, and I'll probably enjoy it, but it certainly isn't going to be good.

Nothing is going to top the original Night/Dawn of the Dead... it must suck to peak early in your career.

It the title meant to be ironic, or are they blissfully unaware that the dead don't survive?

come on, how many "...of the dead" titles can you come up with before you start running out of ideas

I guess if you want to get deep about it, Romero is focusing on the "they are us, we are them" "we are all already dead" points that he focused in Day Of The Dead.

I watched this Dawn of the Dead remake the other day - 'twas decent: http://www.hulu.com/watch/92766/dawn-of-the-dead

Just got Drag Me to Hell and Trick 'r Treat, both of which I'm looking forward to watching.

Horror/suspense FTW!

I love the Zombie genre but its just getting way too overdone. Only Zombie movie/TV I'm interested in is the TV series of Robert Kirkman's the Walking Dead currently in production, brilliant graphic novel that definitely lends itself to an adaptation

My problem with the DotD remake was running zombies. Zombies can't run dammit! Other than that, it was a pretty decent flick.

Sam Raimi did a great job with Drag Me To Hell - you'll love it!

When you say "Trick 'r Treat" are you referring to the 1980's heavy metal horror movie?

I like that development in the genre - started by 28 Days Later / 28 Weeks Later, I gues.

Probably referring to the new movie just released on video:

I've heard good things about it, what did you think?

Am I the only one who thought the Savini remake of Night of the Living Dead was better than the original? Best damn zombie flick of all time! Yes, I'm counting Fulci here too!

Yeah, but 28 Days/Weeks Later both made it a point to highlight that these were not zombies, they were alive, just infected. Both are bad ass movies though. Now it just seems to bleed in to all of the new flicks (except the ones Romero keeps making). Savini's NotLD was fucking great. I think I might watch it again tonight just because this thread made me think of it.

It was good. Not was I was expecting at all. Quite funny at times and clever.
