I saw him last summer and he was doing his gravelly sing-speak for most of the show. Check out "Street-Legal," an album on which he sings really well.

The king is back. He's doing the back-up vocals on Deep Elum Blues, the third verse of The Weight, and all of Tennessee Jed. And a few other tunes here and there I guess. I really need to get to Woodstock to catch a Midnight Ramble.
