here's the much sought after AI-001. natural indigo, one wash and (tumble?) dried. denim said to be of higher quality than 45rpm. you be the judge!

sorry, pics were taken quickly in shop.

alright, some people ordered some 45rpms and i wasn't able to get to the post office right away, so i figured why not snap a few photos before they go out. so here is a happy family of sorahiko's - one hand distressed (these come in several different varieties, from super distressed to semi-distressed- of those two categories they also have different varieties as they are hand distressed) one blue, and one black sulfur overdye (worn). the distressed and blue are size 36 which is why they look big. the black is a size 32. and now the pictures... there's a lot.

even the bag they give you use nice, it's stitched together at the bottom and has rivets to hold the handle on! and sorry, i'm not a professional photographer. :P

yeah, I've seen those, actually thinking of getting a pair and getting rid of the bootcut, should work great since the outseam seems to be straight. Do you know if there are others in that price range, straight or tapered? edit: yup, have seen those too

unfortunately they are too loose for me. still, thanks!

Wow, those pure blue xx003's (synthetics) look fantastic... think the cut would look ridiculous on a more, er, American frame (36w32l)?

Edit: Do they even make 36s?

I think I see they do on the rakuten page.

Differences: Fabric - not just the dye, but the natural indigo pair has a significantly more 'knobbly' aspect to the surface of the denim. It undulates. Fantastic, although this is not to everybody's tastes. It's also a thicker, stiffer denim, and hence less comfortable to wear. The crossroads where all the fabrics meet at the crotch is a particularly 'wodgey' area

The synthetic indigo denim is darker, still very slubby (not dissimilar to Warehouse Duck Diggers - another fantastic pair of jeans). Fitting is similar. Slim, '47 style fit. Front rise around 11". The naturals fit a little tighter in my experience - this may be due to the thicker fabric. The natural indigo's have thick thread stitching round the pockets, rise, J stitch and inside leg. The synthetics only use this thick thread on the lower rise and the top of the side seams. As stitching goes, I actually prefer the latter.
