Is this stuff of decent quality? If so, what other brands are of similar cost, styling, and quality?

Well, in case you didn't know:
Most/all of the Popular well made brands of days gone by are long since over--within the last 10years or so.

From what I understand most of the good stuff produced in Carolina have since pulled up stakes and gone to China.
I purchased a house full of Thomasville before they bit the dust...
I think if I need additional furniture I would try to find some older stuff.

x26 is correct about DH being made in China these days. I called about some scratches I had on a piece in hopes I could have it repaired and that is what they told me. I decided to reclassify "scratches" as "character" and not worry about it.

I also like Century furniture, and I believe it is still made in NC if that matters to you.
