Much better than a 25lb plate.

Do you still need a picture?

Lefty, this just begged to be messed with. LOL.

You can't spot reduce fat, so I highly doubt you've noticed any visible improvements from doing decline sit-ups. Especially since most "ab" workouts utilize your hipflexors to move your body. "Abs are made in the kitchen"

Abs. Kitchen. stop eating like crap.

Decline sit-ups can be effective ab workouts if combined with other strength training exercises, such as the various compound exercises mentioned earlier, as well as other ab-specific exercises including roman chair-lifts and planks. Consistent cardio work is important too. Eating right is most important though.

Your goal shouldn't just be for vanity's sake. Your goal should be overall health and fitness. The body you want will come with time and effort. And don't listen to the morons who tell you to avoid sit-ups. Hip flexors are important in midsection movement and lower body flexibility. Don't ignore working these muscles just because they don't provide visual results.

Now substitute him for a 25lb plate.

Just because.

They won't mess with your knees or hip flexors as long as you bend at the spine and don't keep a straight back. I like doing these too after I finish my workout, I add a little functionality and work the obliques more by throwing a straight punch to alternating sides at the top.
