Nightstand Reading Material

This may not be as interesting as the bathroom reading material, but with the diversity here I'm curious to know what people are currently reading and if its work related or not.

Right now I'm reading:
1.Black Sun, The Brief Transit and Violent Eclipse of Harry Crosby. by Geoff Wolff (Non -fiction) came across this guy while reading about absinthe...

2.The Lover, by Marguerite Duras, this because I watched the movie again the other night..

3.John James Audubon, by Richard Rhodes. work related for my Art in America class (non -fiction)

Homosexuality and Civilization, by Louis Crompton - survey of homosexuality throughout history and world cultures

Women in Chinese Society, ed. Margery Wolf and Roxane Witke - interesting to read some of the attitudes re China and feminism circa 1975

All spun off, or related to my academic interests.

And neither of us live in Berkeley.

Have been reading/leafing through a book with photographs of my hometown from the first half of the 20th century through the 1960's by an Armenian photographer... amazing changes, I can just about vaguely remember some of the old buildings that are now demolished. I cannot for the life of me remember his name unfortunately.

Right now I'm reading "Boswell's Presumptious Task: The Making of the Life of Doctor Johnson," and crossreferencing it with "Boswell's London Journal." A bit geeky, but good fun. And adding the journal to the mix really brings Boswell to life.
